Reminds me of an old Laural and Hardie film years ago.
They spent an hour hauling it up stairs, only to find that the customer was'nt in.

Brings to mind the old story from the 1920's of when jazz violinist and irrepressible prankster Joe Venuti took bets from fellow musicians on what key a piano played when it was dropped out of a window, and then got a number of them to hoist a piano belonging to bandleader Red Nichols out his apartment window, dropping it several stories to the ground....BANG!

Reminds me of that old song with that line "right said Fred ...lets have another
cup of tea" Don't think they'd get a job with piano removalists ;)

It used to be an ad with chimpanzees for tea :)

"Dad, do you know the piano's on my foot?"
"you hum it, son, and I'll play it."

That's the recommended transport method, rolling it end over end. I've read the manual.

It's for sure the day the music died.

Hilarious! What a capture. This is a superb late entry for the 'news' challenge.
