There is a real lack of imagination throughout all our local councils: why can't they have a colourful mural on the side of that tenement where the Grapes Bar is? Why not cover that gap site with a gazebo or tent and use it as a farmers/local/indie market? Why can't people who have a business not buy a tin of paint and brighten up the entrance to their premises? Hanging baskets? Better canopies? Basic repairs as condition of tenancy?
