I know it's quite picturesque. But the old boat is a pain in the neck. It's dangerous and it takes up half the newly-refurbished pier which the local fishing boats could use. But I agree, the palm trees are a nice incongruous touch. It's all to do with the Gulf Stream, apparently.

Palm trees on the Isle of Bute crack me up. Love that old boat there.
