I am not sure but I think the big mesh is on the sides to chase fish into the middle, also lets smaller ones out.Zak I notice a connection between the postings for the 20th-21st-23rd and the 24th. You like arches !

Any idea what these nets are meant to catch? From the mesh size it looks like small whales.
