i was born on st brides road , in 1950 then we moved to number 35 which was at the opposite end directly across from "the hut" we where the beatties " wee jeannie was my mum, my name is D oris Mills we lived up there for years with our granny MAGGIE BEATTIE Robert Beattie is my mum,s brother.it was a great wee community everyone helped each other out no one ever went short of anything . It,s so sad to see it being changed I have such happy memories of " the goy"

I lived up the goy for 19yrs still friends with those I grew up with. My da, aunts and their friends as well all said "the goy was great". It was a close knit comminity where you knew everyone in evry house and everyone helped each other. It's not house that make a community it's the people.

Gosh what a mess theymade of the Guoy..what did they build there instead...and where did all those people go to?? Have they done the same thing to Roslin Crescent??

hey Zak...I was trying to save a few of the Guoy pics to look at as a slide show..but they won't save as jpegs..get some file thing saving..got any ideas why??
