Rohtas Fort

ROHTAS FORT ...
Rohtas Fort, built by Sher Shah Suri in 1541,is located about 25 km from Jhelum ... the historic battle place, where Alexander the Great encountered Raja Porus.
Rohtas was added to Unesco's World Heritage List in 1997.

hi i am mujtaba born in rohatns fort. i was completed my matriculation in 1985 from this village and now i am settel in lahore with my family. its nice fort i have seen every part of this fort inside and out side cus i spent my childhoold. its a histrorical city where 18 mosques and 3 imam barghahs. moharram of this village is also very historic.

Bahi em great fan ov Rohtass Fort..i had have many trips there n i love to vist Rohtas again n again simply u can say that i want ma own house there is just like an unblivable crealition of humman power... huh...its really hard to belive that anyone can arcitact that sort of great thing centuries back when every thing is possible...but.... just with the men power,no macihineris avalible at that time...i love to watch the stairs of the Palace Of The Queen..... have you seen....? that there is no support in it n its almost on the 2nd floor from the ground......thanks Brother you have remind me some past days....with ma ( late ) Girl friend....i have got tears in my eyes right now she is no more but the fort n her beautifull Memories are Still Alive..... I studied from 1969-1974 and did my matric from Govt High School, Rohtas. I have deep attachment with the sites shown in the pictures. It was a wonderful place and Rohtas had a very good High School in whole Distt Jhelum. Thanks to the Headmaster Mirza Ghulam Rabbani(late),who had fully devoted himself and today you find many old Rohtasian who achieved distinction. Due to relocation of GT road , Rohtas lost its importance and people started forgetting it but thans to Mr Zahid for taking me back in my early days.

great photos.i am an old student high school of rohtas. we used to skip school and hide in this great qila some time. now living in abroad for 23 years.these fotos brought back all those memories.fantastic fotos and good to promote country heritage.

I live in Gharmala its very near 2 Rohtas Fort bt unfortuntly i did not visit 2 Rohtas Fort, but due 2 visit this galary I imagen that I visit ROHTAS. I think gorvnment should protect the Rohtas Fort .(WEL DON MR ZAHID)

Wonderfully crafted images with sumptous colours which give a real sense of atmosphere and drama. Pakistan is obviously a beautiful country which needs it's people to appreciate what they have...maybe then we can progress to higher states and fulful the original remit of Pakistan......

Dear Zahid Sb Asslamo alikum, This site u as lover of historical places in Pakistan I belong to Distt Jhelum Thats a really beautifull Nature place around Rohatas fort. Tilla Jujian away from Rohtas Fort 28 Km.The Frost around This is a full of Wild animals Like Tiger Cat Kalla titeer ,Rabbits,Wild Pigs jackels,and other beautiful birds.
