Gateposts and greenery
A row of 3 little houses are close to the pretty elm walkway, and the greenery
of one of them looked so lush and healthy, though no flowers happening in a wintry June.

Valley Street Scene
Most probably the last photo of the elms for 2017; today's rain has brought
down nearly all the coloured leaves, but we NEEDED the rain and we're thankful
to have rain at last.

Autumn Leaves
A close up of the elm leaves that form a tunnel on a pathway in the valley.
Great to see that there are no holes from the slug that can attack elms, and
made such a mess of these trees last year!

School pathway
A very pleasant walkway for the children who live not too far from the little
local school. All of our children attended this school MANY years ago now, and
they walked to and from school daily, but not on this pathway, we lived in the
opposite direction.

Elm walkway
Each year these elms catch the passing eye.

Oaks in June
The pathway taken by Primary School children passing under a line of ancient
oak trees, more colour in the Valley in June. Only one captured here,
I would need to cross a busy road to get the whole line of oaks in one frame.

Elms in June
A few frosty nights have turned the remaining leaves into
pure gold, so eye catching as we drive through the valley.

Tunnel of elm trees lining the main road
I photographed these earlier in the year last time - you can compare with the following photo taken on a sunnier day with the basic Olympus.

Elm trees lining the roadway through the Valley
And a lovely old cottage that has been kept instead of being bulldozed for building a modern replacement.

Old fruit trees lining the pathway
I'm so glad these were left behind when the native lovers moved in and chopped lots of the deciduous trees out and planted acacia and eucalyptus instead! The valley had such a wealth of these lovely old trees and plenty of ancient eucalyptus lining the main roads.

Remnant fruit trees in the old orchard
The last of the experimental trees in the old orchard - this one's probably a plum - note it has flowers AND autumn leaves at the same time! These are growing alongside the Minno Creek.
