Woodgate, a semi-tropical seaside area of Queensland, Australia, has quite a lot of water,
there are wetlands behind the rows of beach houses and when it rains it buckets down.
Where I come from seeing water like this is a rarity.
Reflections on the water
This was also taken on the Thomson River; but when the sky was fiery red at sunset.
Patterns on the water
We were on a boat on the River Thomson a few ks out of Longreach and I noticed the patterns formed from shadows and reflections.
Repairs to the camel cart
Showing how inventive those old camel drivers must have been when they had a breakdown in the outback.
Close up of a wheel on a camel cart. The cart was gigantic and impossible to fit whole into a photo frame, but I could move in and take shots of the detail.
Shows the innovative way of repairing the shaft of the camel cart. This cart was on display in the Stockmans Hall of Fame where Dick and I spent most of a day, there was so much to see and read.
Wear and tear
The wear and tear on wooden shafts, part of a camel cart, and quite high off the ground/floor of the display, Stockmans Hall of Fame.
