Old jetty revisited

Cape Jaffa SE-SA

Almost our last day, the next day we left for home;
but we revisited some of the areas we'd already been to and had a picnic lunch back at this beach.
This time the shags weren't on the jetty (see earlier photo).

I wonder what the original use of this was jetty was..... In the UK, similar piers were mainly used in the old days to service Passager Steamers or to land fish. How times have changed !
