Windy morning

Not that hot yet, but quite windy. Our two horses have their back to the wind and were down in the gully quite a distance from the balcony where I stood to take this shot. Several trees have fallen over today, none of ours have yet, but the CFS (country fire service volunteers) have been very busy attending to the trees, especially when they've fallen over roads.

Lovely shot ... the horses have their backs to the wind! Hope you have no fires. Raining and humid here .... our danger seems to be more from floods today. We are safe from a tsunami!

Beautiful beasts, and a fine sense of the wind conveyed in this image.

It does look windy!! Also very dry indeed - you must have problems with lack of grazing for them. They do look in fine condition.

hardly a green blade to be seen... no wonder folks are worried about fire...

They like to put there backs to it...can't say I blame them.
Thankfully the Tsunami effect was softened by outgoing tides which slowed it right down !!

I wonder if animals sense the earthquake?
