The garden gate

An entry gate from the house yard into the horse holding paddock and round yard.
It's usually quite a shady spot being surrounded by ancient trees, but one
needs to be alert at all times, Dick had at least one "close shave" while
being in that area when a limb fell from a huge eucalyptus tree missing him
and the pony we had at the time that belonged to our 2nd daughter. The pony lived
for 40 years arriving in our family when Trudy turned 9, he was also
9 years at that time. Quite a favourite with the Grandchildren while he was alive!

Looks like a good solid wallaby proof structure. A good composition. Well done.

I didn't realise that Eucalyptus trees were prone to dropping branches in that way.

Fences and gates always fascinate me.
