Lighthouse square

We've been out to lunch today to a delightful little vegetarian cafe with a view into a neighbouring plant nursery...after which we went for a little tour around Port Adelaide.
A warmish day, temperature 30-C we walked along the pier and found our way into a little harbourside pub for a cooling drink before heading off home again. This photo was taken
from the pier looking back into the adjoining buildings & hotels.

Nicely composed shot of a pretty, but empty scene. The heat must have been too much, the Port Adelaide folk seem to be hiding indoors.

I think you've chosen the right shooting spot to capture the essence of the place. With the short focal length there seems to be just the tiniest bit of linear distortion happening in the poles down the left, but that's useful to subconsciously lead the eye in to the centre of the image.

A colourful lighthouse and nicely-laid-out surrounding area, perfect for a stroll. Surprised to see so few people - if this was in Yorkshire the place would be heaving!

This is a charming area to spend an afternoon! :-)
