Jonquils colonising
This was a patch about to come out into flower when we visited Jeanneret's wine tasting
rooms last month. It was late afternoon and the sun was low.
This will be the final photo taken in Clare during 2016.

Coloured Oakleaves
Part of the trees were already showing some colour, though it seemed rather late
for the autumn display in the early days of winter down under.

Grevillea
An native bush commonly grown throughout Australia - we grow a few ourselves
but this one was growing in the garden surrounding the cottages we were staying in.

Delicate roses
A surprise to see roses in flower trained to climb on a pillar of the veranda of
one of our cottages that we hired. Not very good specimens, but one doesn't come
to expect perfect roses in winter, even in Australia.

Oak leaves
With a row of these magnificent trees lining the road between our cottages, I
had to take photos of the leaves. This photo is of green leaves that haven't as yet turned
colour. I have a photo to follow in a few days of coloured oak leaves.
