A romantic meandering garden with deciduous trees, underplanted with hardy flowering plants and drystone walls. It also includes a large productive area with chooks. Bong Bong (meaning "very swampy" in the local aboriginal dialect) was started in 1990, but the owners soon realised the area suffered black frosts and after being very water logged in winter it becomes very dry soil in summer. The water to irrigate in summer comes from a large dam and several rainwater tanks. The house water is recycled and pumped out onto the garden.
