I sorta regret this getting older age; not having a lot time left to seek, to paint, to write about, and places that I just gotta go see. Soon I will be taking a 3-day bus trip, returning once more to the “HOUSE ON THE ROCK” in Wisconsin. Ah yes, the historical workshop photos. The one on the left is of the Operators Reproduco piano/organ, with added vibraphone/chrysoglott, and false pipe top. This now also has a guitar and banjo attached to it, and is part of the "Miss Kitty's Boudoir" ensemble. Next is a photo of Mr. Jordan looking at a large Mortier dance organ, the facade of which is now the basis of the "Blue Danube" music machine. Then there is a smaller photo of the workshop with table saw, tools, etc., and carousel horses arrayed on the left, waiting to be modified for hanging on the wall. Then there is a photo of Alex Jordan looking at the rear of the large Gebruder Bruder fairground organ, which at that time was converted to play paper rolls (note the large hole in the side where the keyframe used to be). Finally, we have a photo of Jordan sitting down in the workshop amidst many musical instruments hanging on the walls waiting to be incorporated into his creations... and also amidst a couple ranks of organ pipes on chests, and also the tympani from the Blue Room.
