Just a few shots of the various temple towns in India. Some of the temples included are the Kedarnath Temple, the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Puri Jagannath Temple and the Pushkar Temple to Brahma. Temples are an extremely important part of Indian culture, which is why it is quite common to see that in the older towns, even smaller towns have huge temples. Frequently, the temple was built first and the town was constructed later with the temple as the focal point. Temples in India were mostly establisher for Shiva (frequently in the form of a linga), but also in more recent times to Vishnu, and to a few other deities like Surya the Sun God and Brahma the Creator. Goddess Temples are also very abundant.
