Part 6: Seville October 5
October 5 (Wed): We took the 10:00 train to Seville and arrived at our destination two and a half hours later. And we went to our hotel, Suites Murillo by taxi. After checking in we lunched at Bar Las Teresas in the neighborhood. Our first stop was the Seville Cathedral (Catedral de Santa María de la Sede or Cathedral of Saint Mary), the third largest in the world (after St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican and Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Aparecida in Brazil). The cathedral also serves as the burial site of Christopher Columbus. My daughter and I went up the La Giralda Bell Tower while my wife took a rest at the Orange Tree Courtyard. Then we took a 20-minutes stroll to the La Maestranza bullring for a guide-tour of the Bullfight Museum. The last bullfight of the current season would take place a week later. In the evening we dined at the La Hosteria del Laurel.
