Day 3 Angkor Wat

There’re over 1,000 temples but even our guide has only been to 60 plus. If you really want to exploit the place perhaps you should get the annual pass.

(Photo 17 – 21): Bayon Temple, location of the “Smile of Cambodia”

(Photo 26 – 50): Ta Prohm where trees (strangler figs) are the real master and the shooting location of Lara Croft, Tomb Raider.

(Photd 51 – 63): Banteay Srei is where you can find the famed Oriental Mona Lisa.

(Photo 65 – 93): The fabulous Angkor Wat really has a lot to see. I spent half an hour (17:00 to 17:30) trying to capture the so called golden Angkor Wat (i.e. the setting sun converting the dark grey colour of the stone into golden red) without success. According to our guide the best time of the year to take such photo is March 23 (though I believe it should be March 21, the spring equinox).

Nice photos, and you really took the effort to write proper descriptions and captions of the places you visited. This will be very helpful to me when I ever get down to documenting my own trip to Siem Reap. I do wonder why you chose to shoot many of the photos at f/22, which in turned caused the ISO to go to 2000 - 3200.
