Bhagsunag falls is in Bhagsu, a short 2 kilometer trek from Mcleod Ganj. It is a wonderful place for a swim though the water is very cold. Mcleod Ganj, 10 kilometers from Dharamsala (Little Lhasa) is the new home of the exiled people of Tibet led by the Dalai Lama. India offered them refuge and they have converted this hill station into a wonderful home for Tibetan art, tradition and culture. Tsuglag Khang, The Dalai Lama’s temple complex, is the life-blood of the town. Located a short walk away from the bus station at the center of town, the complex houses the Namgyal Monastery (which trains monks for rituals associated with the temple), the main temple and a smaller shrine that houses a huge gilded statue of the Buddha, along with two smaller, but no less impressive statues of Chenresig and Guru Rinpoche. In addition, the Dalai Lama’s residence and administrative offices are in the complex. Map of Mcleod Ganj Norbulingka Institute (Official Site) The Institute promotes the traditional arts and literary studies of Tibet, and comprises the following sections...the Centre for Arts, the Academy of Tibetan Culture, and the Literary and Cultural Research Centre.
