Jisar a-Zarka is a Arabic fishing village along the Mediterranean coast. It is just next to the old town of Caesarea that existed since the Roman times. The villagers are Arabs who came from Sudan in the early 1900's. Some were brought by the British to serve in the British army or as servants. This is one of the poorest villages in Israel. Arabs from near by palestinian vilage usually do not intercat with the vilagers from Zarka.

Jisar-A-Zarka people steal constantly from the nearby Israeli town
of Ceaseria. They threw rocks on the main Haifa-Tel Aviv road killing
an Israeli in October 2000. They are also taking over the nearby beach,
building lavish houses with no municipal planning order. They should
be re-settled in the West Bank.
