Weifang is a prefecture-level city in central Shandong province, People's Republic of China. The village of Yangjiabu in Hanting district is famous for folk wood-block print (nianhua) and kite production. Weifang regards itself as the 'International Kite Capital' and holds an international kite festival every year in the spring. In 2006, I went back to Weifang and visited my parents.
