Hello,

I'm trying to understand how I am related to your great grandfather Sam Tilden Chapman. Do you know what year he was born? What's his relation to Mahis White Chapman? Thanks!

Sam Tilden Chapman (the II or III)

Mr.Smith, I love your pictures. They are amazingly awesome. You are a very talented photographer. And being a photographer is one of the things I would like to be as a career! If this was to be my career in the fucher I would hope to be good like you.

Please remove the post regarding John May and Cowboy's Last Ride. He was a previous employee who is now in jail for two counts of burglary of a building among other illegal activities. He was never the owner of Cowboy's Last Ride. He should have never listed it for sale, because he did not have the authority to sell it. It is now located at 5050 Hwy 377N, Early, Texas. The office phone number is 325-646-3099.

Hi Michael,
I used to work at KBUC when I first got out of college. You were a jock there back then. I married Bill DeWeese now deceased. How are you? I just put in a search for KBUC and your site came up.

I found your galleries by chance because I was looking for pictures taken with an Argus C-3. I really liked what you have done with the older pictures! One from 1947 looks like it could have been my own mother and aunt.

Hi Michael, My son Mark tells me he works with you and you are a top notch photog. I'm a newbie at digital, but I have a similar setup (D300 and usually use the 18-200VR). I'd be interested in getting together and talking shop. I really need some help getting the D300 set up right.

Good LORD!! You're my MYSPACE friend and I did NOT know that was YOU! I guess I thought it was some OTHER Mike Smith from Sam Houston. I feel silly, but your pictures are AWESOME! It was great to hear back from you....again. : ))

I love checking in on your pictures from over here in Germany, especially the ones of Haskell since I lived there as a little kid. But I'm also fascinated by the pictures of the Texas Blues scene. Keep up the good work!

Mr. Smith, I love your photos, especially the ones of your family that you have restored. I enjoy taking pictures as well...although I wouldn't call myself a photographer just yet. I enjoyed looking at all your galleries, they're all so beautiful. -Michelle King

Michael,
I really liked the Argus C3 photos. Really, really nice. The one with the flamingos and the garden in Texas were exceptional. Good photography. That Kodachrome film is also marvelous.

Very nice gallery of sunrises and sunsets and loved the butterfly gallery. I enjoy taking pictures of butterflies too and have been trying to make our garden a haven for butterflies. I have great diffulty in taking shots of "fast" moving butterflies though that never seem to stop fluttering their wings even for a few seconds. Thank you so much for sharing the wonderful images.
