2009 Tournament of Roses Post Parade viewing Day 2 (Jan 2) Vol. #1
Each year shortly after the Rose Parade is over the floats are all assembled in an area north of the parade root. Par of this area is known as Victory Park. I do not brave the Parade itself any more but the post parade is a perfect chance to get close up shots. When I viewed the floats on TV I did not feel they were as good as last year. For sure many were not as elaborate. Just the same my opinion changed once I viewed and shot these floats up close and personal. I will have over 400 shots that were all shot in RAW. I then batch processed these images and downsized them for your viewing pleasure. I did not have time to fully edit these so you will see more than one shot of nearly the same detail. I will use the number of hits (your approval) to later delete the ones that are not up to par. I will be spending a second day shooting tomorrow (7 AM to 5:00 PM or so).
Photos from day 2 (Friday Jan 2) vol. #1 of 2. Foggy and overcast day so I concentrated on deatail.
