1946 Chevrolet Fleetline Aerosedan. GM's fastback styling was very popular with car buyers in the Forties. I like to refer to this era of General Motors cars as "The Pontoon Era" because of the way the front fenders protruded from the body of the car into the front doors. This a a very pristine stock example of Chevy's reintroduction to automobile production afer the end of World War II. Pent up demand for new cars was high and people were on very long waiting lists. Most of the first cars produced were carryover models from before the war with minor grille amd trim changes. This Aerosedan was Chevy's most popular model and even outsold the basic family four door sedan!
