1957 Pontiac Star Chief Hardtop Coupe. The first Pontiac since the mid thirties not to have chrome bands on the hood. Pontiac's performance image was born that year with the introduction of the first Bonneville. It was available as a limited production convertible, and it could be order with a fuel injected high performance V-8. The following year it would become Pontiac's top model '58 model series and was available as a hardtop coupe or a convertible.
