Beauty! I used to have one of these, it was a project car that my friend Pat Schneider up in San Leandro, Calif. got and began to restore, I did a lot of restoration work on it myself, after Pat's excellent two-tone black & white paint job. I got it from Pat in 1985, when I bought out his interest in it, and had it for 10 years, then sold it to a car collector up in
Bend, Oregon in 1995. He drove down to Menlo Park, Calif. where I was living at the time and
put it on a trailer and towed it home with his new Dodge Power Wagon pickup truck.
I loved my '55 Poncho, it was the 2nd one I had; back in 1967 when I was in college I had a '55 Star Chief Catalina 2-dr Hardtop, Firegold and Cream, but it was just an old car at that time and not a classy ride. Pat Schneider has one just like it that looks brand new!
