This is a true beauty, I have never seen a more beautiful 1958 Merc. I am a fan of Merc's, have seen many, owned a few, but this beauty is the queen.
Whoever has this, has a treasure in deed.

Congratulations!

1958 Mercury Park Lane Pheaton Hardtop Sedan (rear three quarter view). Note the massive dual rear bumper treatment housing reflective lighting. This repeated a dual bumper treatment at the front of the car that was disected by a stylized block letter "M". The canted tailamp housing also contained the backup lights. Note the rocket-shaped chrome cylindracal spear extending into the rear quarter panel with yet another cylindracal red lamp lens extending rearward adjacent to the canted tailight housing. 1958 Mercurys were massive, chrome-laden, rather boxey cars, but still had a somewhat sculpted appearance. 1958 was to be the culmination year for massive, heavy, big-engined, high-horsepowered, chome-ladened, medium-priced cars. Sales in this market segment plummeted 40% in recession year 1958.
