Very nice Merc. I have a 56 Montclair Phaeton, but a great Mercury is just that...great.
Your Merc and I are the same age. I don't look so hot anymore, but oh boy does that one ever look good. Thank you
Mercury is my overall auto of choice...the years 1938-1978

I grew-up with a 1951 "pea-green" 4-dr. From those "in the know", what is the best way to find and acquire such a vehicle? (It will receive plenty of TLC.)

I too have a 51 Mercury. I am looking for a cover for it. Anyone know of a site or place that sells covers?

I own a 1951 Mercury 4 Door Sport Sedan like the one shown in this picture. I have restored my Mercury but now want to replace the interior i.e. re-carpet, re-upholster the seats and new headliner. I am trying to locate a source that I could contact that would show me examples of fabrics, colors and coordinating styles and patterns installed when the automobile was made at the factory so that I can reproduce the interior to that when new. Thank you for your help.

1951 Mercury Four-Door Sports Sedan. 157,648 produced. Sold new for an even $2,000. Most popular '51 body style. Note the "suicide" rear doors that open at the front of the door.Last year, final facelift of the new post-war Mercury introduced in 1949. 51's had more massive integrated chrome bumpers and grille, and verticle instaed of horizontal taillights.
