Thanks so much for the correction. Actually the Zoo used to have a sign that clearly showed Grants Zebra. However on my last visit the sign was changed to Grevy Zebra. Believe the Zoo must have replaced the Grants Zebra's with Grevy Zebras or (heavens forbid) had the wrong info displayed :-) .

This is actually a Grevy zebra (Equus grevyi). It's the largest zebra species. Grant's zebra have much wider stripes and smaller ears. They closely resemble the Plains zebra, but the Grant's lack the shadow striping that the Plains' have.
