My parents had a couple of Buicks during WW II: A 1941 4-door Roadmaster Conv and two 1942 Buicks. Two things I remember well: I could hear my father coming home from work. There were far fewer cars on the street but the 1942 and perhaps the 1941 had a sound all their own. I wouldn't call it a whine but that is as close as I can get to describing the sound. One of the '42 was the first two tone car I ever saw. The other '42 was , I think, the darker green in your picture. Is there any way that I could use your picture on my desktop?

Also, one of the 1942s was the first two toned car I ever saw. Two tone cannot be done so well with modern designs. The othet '42 was a green like I thing the darker green in the picture. Is there any way I could use your picture on my desk top? James A. Kenney
