Grevillia - click on photo for more info

Macro taken through the electronic viewfinder. I am impressed with the depth of field capabilities of this camera and the precision focusing when using the electronic viewfinder especially with macros.

This is an Australian flowering tree. Does anybody know what kind of tree it is?

The plant is a Grevillia in the Family Proteaceae with Macadamia nuts and african Proteas.
Australia has over 300 species in this genus and they are popular garden plants.
Check out the society for growing Australian plants page here for more on Grevillias
