I wonder if the 1939 Buick hearse that you are referring to is the same one that my brother and then brother-in-law previously owned. It had fancy scrollwork on the sides.

Beautiful car, when I was very young, my parents owned a 1939 Buick Century 4dr with dual side mounts, it was painted factory silver, I rode many miles in the back seat of our buick, I remember the smell of the mohair upholstery, good luck with your Buick.
A good friend of mine has a 1939 Buick Hearse, I always hoped that some day it will be
restored back to it's original condition,it has to be very rare.

beautiful, beautiful, car. we own a 1940 buick with dual mounts, 2 door hard top. theres just nothing like an "buick" have a great day and happy new year.
