Glad to know that you like it, Phil. Initially, I shot it because I like its color, shapes and background...but thanks for enliving the meaning of the contents by adding another dimension of interpretation.
I love this shot, Xin -- the burned out portion suggests a blazing sun, drawing the balloon ever closer to it. To me, this image is about man's limitation. We can only go so far, and no more. This beautiful balloon seems to be rapidly reaching that limit. Normally, burn out is a no no, something to be avoided. In this case, it is the point of the image.
