Marugame 丸亀

A modern city close to the terminus of the Seto Ōhashi, Marugame is a former castle town now known as the chief producer of uchiwa (hand-held fans) in Japan. Along with Matsuyama, Uwajima and Kōchi, it is also host to one of the country's twelve remaining feudal castle keeps.
