As it stands, I prefer the color version. The scene certainly lends itself to B&W, but the B&W version could be punched up a bit; bring out the shadows in the pine trees, tone down the highlights a touch; personally, I would lighten up the sky a bit - it's too dark w/ the sun obviously being out - experiment with some filters and different layers in CS2, or whatever you are using.
