I began taking and developing B&W photos back in high school in the 1980's. After leaving college, I met up with Slug via a mutual friend in the mid to late nineties. Turns out we both wanted to place our photos on line, in some sort of permanent database, and also help share them. I began to travel at the time, and this sounded like a perfect way to save my memories and experiences. I had lost countless digital photos in a server crash, and most of my old film photos were destroyed in flooding and rot. Slug made this site, I did a bit of trouble-shooting early on, and he was kind enough to let me use this spot, and here we are nearly two decades later. Thank you very much, Chuck!
I was able to bring a few of my old film photos over, and would still use film to this day if not for the time and the cost. Until last year, I never was comfortable with any digital camera I owned, with the possible exception of my old Nikon D2H. Then Fuji and Sony produced a couple that got my attention. I now use a full frame Sony A7, often with adapted lenses. It feels a lot like my old Minoltas and Nikons in use, and produces similar imagery(with just a bit more resolution, of course). I use LightRoom to develop my digital images(and sometimes I develop them way, way too much). I prefer street and landscape photography. I rarely use flash, and try my best with available light. Many of my images are mostly memories. So you'll see a lot of stuff here that makes little sense to anyone aside from myself. Still, I try my best to keep it interesting.
If for some reason you feel the need to help support my photographic efforts, any little donation is much appreciated. My PAYPAL is email@example.com
Cheers and enjoy!
