I love The Strand and was looking for some pictures taken before Ike struck five days ago since I think recovery is going to take a long time. I live about 20 miles from Galveston and went often. Your pictures will help me remember the good times I had there.

Great pictures!!! I am going in August and cannot wait. I love Galveston. I have only been there a couple of times but this time is special because my two sons will be going and seeing a beach for the first time. Once again thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures of Galveston.

Great pictures WK! I love Galveston and am so glad Rita pretty much left her alone this time. I've been going here since I was a youngster and never get tired of it.

Your pictures of Galveston is so cool. Thats not the word, awesome is the correct word. I'm 16 and can't wait to go there next month on vacation with my family. Its going to be so fun. Thanks alot for letting me view your pics. I'm taking my digi cam and going to take pictures also. It's going to be fun. Well byes for now.

Just came across these pix on the web and it really makes me miss Galveston. The 'ibc' in my email address is from when I lived there and was an 'islander by choice'!
