I know what you mean. You almost have to pull the trigger in advance and guess when they are going to stop for an instant.

Yes - more DOF would have been nice, but it's not my bad focussing or the missing DOF, its that d*** bird
moving all the time. Kinglets are always on the move and while you focus they move out of it. So I got
at least a nice action shot with a bit of ruby red on his head and the wings in focus ;-)

Great pose, looks like he/she had you spotted and was getting ready to fly off. Don't you wish you had some more DOF? I think I would have focused on the face, but perhaps your autofocus betrayed you!
