April 24, 2009 - Large Flowering Trillium

A 180 degree turnaround this week in the weather. Sleet and snow earlier, sunny and 85 today. Go figure. With the sudden turn in temps, everything is busting out in leaf and in bloom. Allergy medicine makers full employment time. I got the chance to go out this evening for a little while, and I thought it would be too windy to get anything. But just as I was preparing to go out, the warm front finished moving through and it got calm with a soft light. Perfect shooting conditions. These are common trilliums here, but still very beautiful.
