This Pacific Loon was found off the point at Mackey's Creek on Bay Springs Lake in Northeast Mississippi. Very evident in this photo is the "Chinstrap". The first thing that attracted my attention was how dark the back and head was in comparison to the Common Loons nearby. The chinstrap pretty much clinched the ID for me.
