Once every three years, riverboats from all over the midwest, from Minneapolis to New Orleans, from Nashville to Pittsburgh, gather in Cincinnati, Ohio to celebrate their common river heritage. The Tall Stacks Music, Arts & Heritage Festival is alive with music, good food and drink, volunteers strolling the riverfront in authentic period costumes, a Civil War camp replica (including working cannons), boat cruises on the Ohio, a World War II LST, and, of course, the center of focus, the riverboats. From October 4th through 8th 2006 the magic happened again. I hope you enjoy these pictures of the events and can feel the excitement and thrill of "being there" as you visit Tall Stacks 2006.
