Around the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort, Santa Ana Pueblo
The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa lies on the Santa Ana Reservation near Bernalillo, New Mexico. It is a short 25 minute drive north of Albuquerque Sunport International Airport and about double that south of Santa Fe. It sits at the end of a one and one-half mile, winding road. At the resort a visitor feels they have been transported back a century or so, but still having all the modern conveniences, including golf and a complete spa, at their finger tips.
There are plenty of activities available at the Hyatt including native Indian dancers, story tellers, nature walks, bread making classes, pottery classes, etc. While there is a myriad of adventures in the surrounding counties, if one chose, they could have a wonderful visit and never leave the resort property. The pictures in this gallery were taken on several walks on the paths provided. Leaving the paths is prohibited for the guest’s safety and for the privacy of the indigenous species that roam free on the land, including rattlesnakes and coyotes.
