Cardboard Village: A Glimpse into the Lived Experience of Homelessness

A Senior Nursing Project

Senior nursing students and faculty raised awareness of the plight of the homeless population in the community by creating a ‘cardboard village’ that allows students and faculty to spend the night out of doors in cardboard boxes. As part of the project, students participated in raising money and collecting canned goods and winter coats that will be distributed to local homeless shelters and food banks.
