Other Paintball stuff

This is the odds, ends and oddities page. Mainly its a place to put a few misc things I ether want or thing are interesting.

I WANT MORE LONGSHOTS! Sorry about that, but yeah, I want to get a set of these barrels back. I had some throughout the mid 90's and then sold them. Well, I want a set back. You'll often notice a lot of old timers who have been around the sport for a long time might have shiney new barrel sets, but if you dig a little, most will pull out a few barrels that are "just in case" or "collectors items". Don't be fooled, chances are those barrels are some of the best performing barrels you'll ever see. Well, the longshots are mine. These are not the shiny new timmy barrels, these were made back in the early/mid 90's by DAC of England and marketed by Bob Long as his signiture series. Check out the pic to see the differnces, and what I am looking for.

Nope, they are both stainless Bob Long DAC barrels, the logo in the last picture is from one of them.

The two nickel barrels look like BOA Snakebit (or is it Snakebite?), I have two, though not at that length, one is 12" and the other 8". Your barrels are missing the characteristic BOA flare/ridge below the front, which allows your porting to go all the way down to the middle - if it weren't for that I would think you had BOAs for sure as the rest of the milling is dead-on for BOA's work. As I said, it "looks" like a BOA at first glance.... (is it?)

Wow, an older marker I bought had a barrel like your third pictured but the tip of the second. I thought it was the uggliest barrel I had ever seen and threw an 02 WGP stock solid black barrel on it. You've given me a new respect for the barrel, and I'll be sure to try it out now.

I used to spend a lot of time hanging out at Delta Archery in the early 90's back when he still had trophy heads upstairs from his archery. I bought a Bob Long Signature Series cocker with a .691 14" BL SS aluminum circa 1995 from "Crazy Bill." My brother picked up a stainless mag BL SS around the same and I got an aluminum BL SS mag barrel on a backup gun I bought from Damon who had customed it out.

I think I also got a mag DAC Tulip from Damon as well. More recently I found a cocker DAC Tulip on ebay and snatched it up. Both 9" I think.

All this time I had no idea the BL SS barrels were made by DAC but I can see it now. Like you say, they are the best barrels I have ever shot. Too bad DAC is out of business now?
