When I saw this one on ebay, I was instantly curious; and fortunately, the seller knew what he had and knew the history of it. To bad it took me ages to get off my lazy ass and get pictures up.
This particular gun was built by Jack Withers of Constant Action Paintball in Austin Texas, a name I really hadn't run across before. What makes this shop notable is that they lay claim to being the first to do reverse pneumatics on a cocker. Interestingly enough, two others who were early users of that design were also from Texas, Eyeball Engineering and Brad Nestle. After seeing pics of a pair of Jacks reverse cockers, I have to say he has a very good claim to the title, both were incredibly nice machines I'd love to own.
The trigger on this gun is smooth and well set up, and theres a lot of little details that make this gun stand out like the venting under the feed and the side drilled hole for the sear lug set screw. The trigger is a classic double finger shoe with the cut trigger guard. this modification became illegal on most fields after a series of accidents that caused insurance to mandate trigger guards. sadly, a lot of high end guns of the 90's had these cut frames and saw the frames discarded to conform and replaced with hinges. As they say, things come full circle and the trigger guard requirement has grown a lot laxer, but many older cockers have lost their matching frames.
Just start off with...Jack Withers DIDN'T build the first reverse cockers...I made one way before him after a customer saw a picture of a gun that Danny Love made in 1993 or so. Jack saw that gun when he visited the owner of Barritz Paintball in Houston where I worked at teh time. He wanted one like it and his only requirements were it used a remote set up and was sexy. I built him a purple splashed reverse cocker, just wish I still had pics of it. He later was telling people that he built it, then I was a hack machinist that he had do some basic work for him, then I was a liar...whatever. I know the truth. Brad

I knew Jack VERY well. I had him make me a marker in95 or 96 [it was a while ago.]Played on his team and on his fields out side of Austin. I would sell you mine if you want. Dont play these days. Range and accuracy {sp} are unbelivable.
