Images of the Rosette under nearly identical conditions, before and after the IR mod by LifePixel.
The original Nikon IR filter was replaced by a full spectrum filter. A Baader 2" UV/IR (mild) filter was inserted into the light path. Both are 10 minute sub-exposures at ISO800, no darks were applied in order to simplify the comparison. (The third image is a combination of 6 - 10 minute subs, dark subtracted, with a bias frame, of the after mod exposures on 01/24/07.)
