This morning, at 6:56am, Polaris culminated on the meridian and that point was used to align the north-south axis for the concrete form that will be the base for the mount.
Concrete to be poured Tuesday, 07-Feb-2012 by Mike McMahon (same guy who poured the pad at Peralta Trails observatory, shown here - http://www.pbase.com/wjshaheen/image/94075973/medium ).
