Mr. Shaheen... very nice. May I ask you how you connected your 8300 to the EdgeHD? I have a SBIG 8300 and am going to purchase the 8" EdgeHD only I have been bitten before on inward and outward focus as well as the correct connectors and extension tubes. What do you use?
Thanks

Thank you Mr Shaheen for your wonderful images.
Particularly I truly appreciate the sequence showing how to receive a solar image using a single bino ocular. I had read a few descriptions how to set it up but your images, along with the result, gives me very very clear understanding of the procedure.
I've taken the liberty of copying your images for my astronomy "how to do" notebook until I get to the point of setting up correctly.
Thank you again for being an unintentional good teacher through your images, for at least this novice solar astronomer.
Very gratefully,
Don L.

Hi Bill, Thanks for the review on the Optec reducer on the 11" Edge HD. Do you know if anyone has done something similar on the 9.25" Edge HD? If not, do you think the reducer will perform as well on the 9.25" or are the optics different enough to not be able to make a guess? Thanks again for the review and for your time. Regards, Eddie

Hey bill,

Love your shots. I just received a TEC140 and I noticed you were using a Astro Tech Field Flattner. I would like to use this for my DSLR, what do you think? Please email at orion831@msn.com.

Thanks
Tony

Hey Bill. Not sure if you remember me, Bill Levine from the old PCS days. Anyways, was just browsing thru some astronomy stuff and remembered you and was wondering how you are doing. Hope all is well. Take care.

Very nice place Bill. Your TEC 140, Q-guide and Canon 350D looks like a great set-up. Love your rotatable roof over the observatory!

Here's a story for you: One day months ago as my six-year old son and I were riding our bikes around Peralta Trails when I noticed something looking like a telescope tripod barely visible under a cover next to a house. Since that day my son always mentions the "telescope house" as we coast down street on our bikes. Not completely sure if it really is a telescope in the distance under a cover, I couldn't help but want to solve the mystery. So I look up "Peralta Trails Astronomy" and guess what website come up first! So that was easy. Now I can tell my son that it really is a telescope under that tarp as we ride by the street behind your house. Nice to meet you William, my name is Bob Cash. I have been doing astronomy since I got my first telescope (at age 6) in 1973. I worked many years for the Chaffee planetarium, and made world news in 2003 for my most famous discovery of Asteroid "2003 SQ-222". Now after eight years of working for FOX-10 news in Phoenix, I now work at Echostar (Dish Network's Uplink center). Please visit:http://bobcash.freespaces.com/astro.html to see my astronomy page.
