Almost an entire day after seeing the grebe by the shoreline ( http://www.pbase.com/witsend/image/146323526 ) it was still in the same place, having only turned around 180 degrees. Was it too injured to move further?



As we attempted to catch the grebe for a trip to a bird care centre it leaned forward and eventually limped into the river. We can only hope it will survive.
