The red squirrel had found a huge fungi and was carrying it across the grass. Red squirrels will often store fungi for eating during the winter months.
Here he is posing with his 'trophy' fungi.





Just trying to grab the fungi proved a feat. He was eventually successful in carrying it up a spruce tree and placing it on the end of a branch.
